Garden
In the Kurseong Valley, about 70 km south of Darjeeling Town lies the Margaret's Hope tea garden, which was founded in the middle of the 19th century. The name goes back to a sad incident in the 1930s. Margaret, the daughter of the plantation owner, died of cholera, of all things, on the crossing from England - where she had completed her studies - back home to her beloved tea plantation. The plantation is especially known for its excellent Second Flush and Autumnal teas.
