Japan Sencha Benifuuki (Organic)
Benifuuki tea is a Japanese green tea of the Sencha variety that was developed in the 1990s. It was created by crossing the Yabukita tea variety native to Japan with the Indian Assamica plant.

Origin
This tea comes from the province of Shizuoka. Shizuoka is the largest of the Japanese tea growing regions. 40% of the total tea production comes from here. It is located southwest of Tokyo in the heart of the main island of Honshu. Tea fields stretch along the east coast in a 160 km long hilly landscape. The mineral-rich soils and the mild climate with plenty of rainfall favour the cultivation of tea immensely. The slopes of the Mount Fuji (Fujiyama) volcano are particularly well known for their fine tea qualities.
