This classic is finally making a comeback! After production, but before the drying process, the Sencha leaf is ground, pulverized and then, with the addition of water, pressed into its traditional shape. This gives this green tea its distinctive uniform appearance, reminiscent of pine needles. Our Kokeicha quality has an anthracite-colored leaf and develops an intense, tart flavor with a lemon-yellow cup when infused.
